JetStar International Flights

Hey Sydneysiders,

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with flying JetStar internationally? I'm looking at booking some tickets leaving in around 2 weeks because they are so cheap it seems stupid not to go. But I don't know if this enough time for all the right information to reach me from the airline? Will it all be email or will they post information? I've always used a travel agent before so I'm a little nervous about doing it myself, and not wanting to mess anything up an incur fees greater than the cost of the ticket.

Any advice is appreciated...especially if you live in the inner west :)

Seeking housemate - $90 p/w

Room for rent: $90 per week in a fairly spacious (but not particularly shiny) 3 bedroom unit. Has access to a large flat roof space for plants, meditation, morning yoga, deployment of small plastic paratroopers etc. Wireless internet optional.

It is in Strathfield, which is still technically in the inner west, and also is connected well to places that aren't Strathfield with 4 different bus lines within 100m of the house, and it is a ~15min train trip to the city from Strathfield station.

Vegan or vegetarian highly preferred. Queer friendly household. Shy people welcome too :)

Photography supplies

Does anyone know if the ArtSup at Manning St Shops in Kingswood still sell darkroom chemicals? I tried calling but they're not answering. Probably lost the phone stoned.

long shot...

In case anybody goes to Rouse Hill Town Centre anymore...
I lost my pair of secateurs there today and none of the shops I went to have seen them :-( they must have fell out of my pocket or something (I work at a nursery and went there straight after work).
If anybody has been there or goes there and spots them, I'd love to get them back!
They have red handles and I've written my name on the inside of the handle. No need to say which name because I'm fairly sure there aren't too many red-handled written-on seco's hanging about on the floor at Rouse Hill TC.
Next time I suppose I'll need to put them in my bag or leave them in the car!!
Cheers Sydneyfolk.

Too bad [info]didz doesn't still work there.  That is, assuming he'd even help me :-P

A good quiet view in Sydney

So I'm looking for a spot that's good to go to for a drive... possibly at night... with a nice view of the city or the ocean.

And no, I'm not looking for a snog spot... but something like that, pretty, quiet, restful, good energy, not too far away from the eastern suburbs.
In Brissie I'd climb a bridge or drive up to a water tower for a good view but I'm still getting my bearings around sydney.

Thanks!

truck hire for self move...

hey kiddlets... am moving in a few weeks and need a truck to move the heavier items from our apartment.

i know how to google, but i'm looking for personal recommendations.

looking for less than $400 for a weekend of work.

alternatively... i'll hire ppl to move it for me for similar price, but we figure it'd be cheaper just to hire the truck and DIY.

cheers!

Laundromat

Hiya,

Does anyone happen to know of a laundromat around, one with coin operated washing machines and dryers? Preferably in or near the lower north shore... Our washer/dryer combo has just royally fucked itself.

Thanks :)

I bought a soundwave ticket and then I moved to Melbourne. I've just seen the timetable and I honestly cannot be arsed flying back to Sydney for that clusterfuck.

I realise it's not sold out so I'm selling it for $120. I can probably arrange a friend (Hi [info]leighroy__!) to do an exchange or I can post it ~buy it now~ on ebay and legitimise a money transfer/post transaction. I just want to get rid of it so let me know what you prefer.

PS Melbourne really is better~
